Inside the Detox Studio at Recharge

Studio

Detox Studio

Far-infrared sweat. Restorative reset.

A deep, comfortable sweat at lower temperatures, the cleansing-feel reset that members come back for.

What it is

Detox Studio is built around a single, focused experience: the Far Infrared Sauna Wrap, a wrap-around device that emits far-infrared wavelengths to warm the body directly rather than heating the surrounding air. The result is a deep, gentle sweat at noticeably lower ambient temperatures than a traditional Finnish or steam sauna, which most members describe as easier to sit with for the full session.

A typical session runs about 30 to 45 minutes inside the wrap, with cool-down and rehydration on either side. The flow is designed for one outcome: a restorative, sweat-forward reset that leaves you feeling lighter, looser, and calmer, without the high heat of a conventional sauna.

What members come for
Sweat-forward reset

A deep, comfortable sweat at lower temperatures, the cleansing-feel reset that members come back for.

Recovery

Post-training and post-active-day warmth that helps muscles unwind and stiffness ease.

Relaxation

Quiet warmth in a private wrap, a downshift from busy days and a step toward better sleep readiness.

Circulation

Heat-driven vasodilation and a steady heart-rate lift, the warmth-and-flow effect, without the workout.

Why it works
  • Direct, gentler heating. Far-infrared wavelengths warm the body directly rather than heating the air around it, which is why FIR sessions can produce a meaningful sweat at lower ambient temperatures than a traditional sauna. Cleveland Clinic's clinician overviews describe this as the defining mechanical difference between FIR and conventional saunas.
  • Restorative sweat response. A sustained, gentle sweat is part of normal thermoregulation, and patient-facing summaries from Cleveland Clinic note sauna use as a relaxation and recovery practice rather than a detox cure. We frame it the same way, restorative, not medicinal.
  • Cardiovascular-style response. Heat exposure produces a modest, exercise-like circulatory response: heart-rate lift, vasodilation, and warmer extremities. Reviews indexed in PMC describe this consistently across FIR and traditional sauna studies.
  • Emerging FIR-specific evidence. A growing body of FIR-specific work, separate from the larger Finnish-sauna literature, has examined recovery, blood pressure, and well-being outcomes. The evidence base is smaller and earlier-stage than for traditional saunas, and we describe FIR honestly on those terms.
How often
Start
1× per week

For the first 2–3 weeks, while your body builds heat tolerance and you settle into the rhythm of the session.

Routine
2× per week

An ongoing rhythm for steady recovery, relaxation, and consistent sweat-reset benefits.

High-stress weeks
3× per week

If tolerated well, with close attention to hydration and electrolytes before and after.

Typical flow: Pre-hydrate → Far Infrared Sauna Wrap 30–45 minutes → cool-down and rehydrate. The sweet spot is consistency, not intensity, a steady, comfortable sweat beats a single hot session.
